For this project I was given a raw version of the squirrel at the Grand Canyon.  I picked the hudson filter from Instagram to mimic. I opened the photo in photoshop (not camera raw) and made the following adjustments:

I went into image>adjustments>levels.  Once in levels I used the drop down menu and picked blue and adjusted the sliders over to give it a more blue hue.  Next I went into image>adjustments>color balance.  I adjusted the blue and green sliders where I liked them best.  Before saving the file I cropped the image as a 1:1 square and used the rule of thirds for with the squirrel.  Next I saved the file and reopened it in camera raw.  I then went into the effects panel and adjusted the different sliders under the post crop vignette to my liking.

For the border, I opened a new canvas sized according to my image size in width and then added a for more inches to the height.  I then went into my Instagram on my laptop and screen shoted my "header" and "footer".  I placed the edited image onto my new canvas and then placed my "header" and "footer" and moved them around to make them look like an image in the app.
After feed back from classmates, I toned down the vignette some in this photo.
