Golden Soy starts as a family-owned food business in Danville, California. Being born in Indonesia, this husband-wife duo have the mission to provide California, a healthy, nutritious but delicious food they have known since their childhood back home. "Tempeh, a traditional soy product originally from Indonesia. It is made by a natural culturing and controlled fermentation process that binds soybeans into a cake form. Tempeh's fermentation process and its retention of the wholebean give it a higher content of protein, dietary fiber, and vitamins. It has a firm texture and an earthy flavor which becomes more pronounced as it ages. Because of its nutritional value, tempeh is used worldwide in vegetarian cuisine; some consider it to be a meat analogue."1
Currently, Golden Soy distributes their products mostly at Asian groceries throughout the bay area. S-LIM designed their very first packaging for their flagship product, almost a decade ago. And now, gaining more loyal customers and vastly growing, they came back to S-LIM with the need of a "face-lift" and an extension to their new product line targeted for vegetarian and vegan market.
