Spectrum Stretcher

Spectrum Stretcher is a nested polyphonic synthesizer that defies the rules of harmonic structure. The harmonics of each note are notes in themselves, simple or complex waveforms able to be manipulated through pitch, amplitude, and filter envelopes and LFOs. No longer linked to the fundamental as strict integer multiple frequencies, groups of odd and even harmonics can be stretched apart, pushed together, shifted, spatialized, and cascaded in ways not possible through other means of synthesis.
Below are audio files that demonstrate spectrum stretching for different parameter values. All samples are of the same two chords with a sawtooth fundamental and square wave harmonics.
Unstretched: stretch factor of 1 times the fundamental frequency
Stretch: 0.5
Stretch: 0.25
Stretch: 0.01
Stretch: 0.01 with sine wave fundamental and harmonics
