The project started with the assignment for a student-club building in between onе of the existing blocks. Exploring and also being part of the university community we acknowledged a couple of major problems.
First, no connection between the different parts, blocked entrances and over 70 % of the blank spaces being used as car-parking. Second, all the buildings and structures that are not used are in process of ruination.
This and many other obstacles totally changed my mind about the task. I tried to react on what is really missing in the base, what should be removed and what should be reused.
The only building intervention is the underground parking. With the cars not being a factor this made possible to unite different parts and to open spaces for other activities. Some of the other proposals are: outdoor workspaces, outdoor menza, playgrounds, student installations and exibition space, creating pass-true bridge and opeing a lot of univercity entrances.
