Easy Slicer
Product design
New low cost range slicer design and development, entering on the low-end market.

Innovative points:

-Cleanability and hygiene
- Design
- Reduction in costs
- Total components reduction
- Reduce the content of Aluminum
- Assembly time reduction
- Easy of cleaning and mechanical repeatability (shapes and tolerances)

PROYECT 1
The objectives pursued in this project were two:

Reduce the overall size of the slicer.
- Reduction of aluminum on the base
- Reduction of transportation costs (production in foreign countries)

Simplification of the moving sail system.
- Reduction of components
- Simplify the assembling process

For reach this goal, it was decided to bring closer the arm of the dish to the sail, modifying the slide, but without shortening it keeping fluent the translation movement. In this way, has been reduced the 15% of the aluminum of the base and has been shortened all the slicer 140 mm in length and other 90mm in width.
Instead to simplify the sail movement system, has been used the idea of a worm screw and a more compact locking system.

PROYECT 2
The project developed at this stage, was focused on the slice slice-base group.
The slice was made in two parts, which can rotate mutually around a pin, and the assembly of the two parts translates on a bar. Wants to integrate the functionality of the front protection and must have also all the details of its product grip which the reliefs on the lower surface and the handle with para-hand flange positioned according to the regulations.
With all this, it is thought to reduce the costs considerably, not only production and assembly, including the transportation.
For the choice of suitable material for the realization of the components has been used a logical method which is based on a sequence of operations leading to exclude the not suitable materials and to highlight the ones that meet the design requirements.

PROYECT 3
This last project is regarding to the substitution of the turret of the initial slicer with a new sharpener cover system.
The objective was to reduce the quantity of aluminum used for the realization of the machine; has been eliminated 1.6 kg of aluminum.
This was has been possible simplifying the cast of the base and eliminating the protruding part of the turret.
In its place has been placed two cover casings injected in plastic material. Rests on them the sharpener, also made of plastic material.
This system brings already the advantages as regards the "design for assembly" and the total number of pieces is in fact been reduced, especially in the redesign of the sharpener.
