Basic Principles of Design

1.  Similarity
In this painting they used a certain shape to show repition.  The rectangular prism is shown both as stacks of hay and also as the clouds in the sky.  It is also like the hay stacks are the clouds shadow.  The texture of the painting also shows us the repetition because it is fluent through out the whole painting.
The cards are the most noticeable things in this picture, they are also more focused other than the background that is blurry, this is showing us proximity.  It is also showing us proximity by overlapping the cards and keeping them really tight to show us a little pattern.
2.  Alignment
In this image the artist used colours that went almost everywhere.  You have Spots of pink merging into the orange and green, also green merging into pink and orange and so on.  In the middle of this picture the colours merge together and make it look like they all belong.
In this painting there is a lot of colours involved.  There is red, blue, yellow, green, etc.  You easily look from left to right without wondering why a certain colour does not belong.
3. Focal Point
This fan based art is focusing on Michael Jordans famous dunk.  This isolates everything so we only focus on the colour and the stance of Michael Jordan.
This Picture Makes us really focus on the rocks, instead of it having an even focus throughout the whole picture the background is more blurry that the stack of rocks.
4.  Types of Balance
If you we're to split this painting right in half with a mirror it will be exactly that same,  this shows us that this painting is symetric .
This image has a constant pattern of shapes, which is a crystallographic balance.
5.  Perspective
This is a picture of a rose.  This rose appears to be larger than the sky because it is a really close shot with little background of the sky.
6. Contrast, Placement, Isolation
This painting shows us contrasts by having light spots and dark spots within that painting, and also by having an object that looks really big with a smaller object in the background.
Rocky Mountains and the pine trees make us look towards the lake and the details within it.
The picture represents isolation.  With the a coupe in the background and the other 2 in the background it seems that the girl in the middle is neglected.  This is also shown with the black and white colouring and the facial expression of the girl in the middle.

Year Book Page
This is me and Ian's SMW yearbook page.  At the top we have the page name "Sisler's Most Wanted" in a slight grey colour.  It is also surrounded by red to show off the title a bit more.  Below it will be a picture of the SMW team in one of their great performances, or a performance that really stood out.  Bottom left of the picture will be a little description of SMW.  To the right of that will be the roster of SMW.  (Need to double check roster)  On the very bottom will be a picture of the SMW director(s) and a text about SMW in their point of view.  Not everything is official.  The picture used at the top is only an example picture,  still need to take pictures of SMW.
