ThankYouNotes - Web Design Template
This design was created using the same layout as the Computer Solutions template since it fitted the design brief so well in terms of layout.
Within Photoshop I began to alter the template design a lot, in terms of colour scheme and section size. I added a login section which fitted nicely at the top right of the page on the navigation bar. Since the design brief didn't specify the exact colour scheme to use and said that it was up to the designers imagination I thought that a light coloured wood effect would stand out and create a unique style.
The business 'MyThankYouNotes' idea was to attract people who wanted to send a thank you note to someone e.g. a boss or collegaue. There unique idea however, was to use your typed up message and then write out in hand what you had written which they would then send off for you.
Since the whole purpose of the website was to demonstrate what the company actually did - I had to come up with a way of expressing it - Through a lot of trial and error I remembered a technique that basically altered traditional text giving it a very subtle glow - I used that effect on a few lines of text and with a few tweaks and a bit of rescaling I managed to create a transition that looked as if the words were coming off the laptop and onto the piece of paper beside it.
