When I was learning magazine layout, I had a tendency to add work to projects just to see if something was possible. This was one of those projects. What began as a simple one-page gadget feature became an hours-long illustration project. I found photographs of the three devices discussed in the article and created photo-realistic renderings of them in Illustrator. All of the art that appears below was created using vector objects with solid or gradient fills.
