Design Futures 2050
This project was completed in a team of five, where we research and evaluated trends that predict the drivers for design in the year 2050. With the increasing population (9 million globally in 2050) and the increase in urbanisation, the design brief extrapolated was to design a transport environment that allows for maintaining a high quality of life in more busy congested urban situations. The soft trends used to help create the concept were eco and connectivity centric. Due to an increase in population and population density( and therefore an increase in the demand for energy), the concept included energy concepts. The design work as seen was created by Steven Dyson.
Information Point. To access transport network information, social networking, and offers a  co-branding platform of advertising, etc.
Virtual Interface on Information Point.
Dynamic tiled flooring, to allow for way finding.
Hybrid Energy Solar/Wind System. The two images below show the energy concept, which is an adaptable wind harvester, which on windily climates utilises it's blades to create energy, and on sunny days uses solar panels.
