Unlike a videographers, photographers must learn how to tell a story in a single snapshot instead of over time. One chance, one shot. These photos were taken in my first lesson with photography and learning how to use a Canon camera on the manual setting with the aperture, ISO and shutter speed to try and attempt portraying an effective and emotive result.

No filter or photoshopping has been added to this photo.

Technique | I used a DSLR Canon EOS 550D with an 18-55mm macro 0.25/0.8ft lens.
ISO, Aperture and shutter speed are the three controls that directly affect the exposure of a shot. Through the process of taking pictures, experimenting with the different adjustments, it was clear to see this.
The ISO is the sensibility of surface and was set to 200.
The Aperture is the amount of sharpness or blur in the shot which was set to F5.0
The shutter-speed portrays motion ins a shot, the faster the shutter speed the sharper the shot will be of the motion, thus the slower the shutter speed would be the most blurry, which was set to 1/100.

Process | I used a Canon EOS 500D to capture the image, it did take a few adjustments to achieve the effects I needed for the story I had created. After adjusting, I held the camera on a ledge to take a steady picture.

Reflection | This photo selection search was very experimentative and a learning curve for taking a good shot. I still expect myself to learn a lot more since this was my first experience taking photos other than the setting 'Auto,' but I look forward to the next storytelling photograph.
The 'curves' in Photoshop were slightly tweaked using the red line to focus more on the Cyans. Some reds were added on the same line as well, moving the opposite point to the left.
Technique | I used a DSLR Canon EOS 550D with an 18-55mm macro 0.25/0.8ft lens.
The ISO is the sensibility of surface and was set to 100.
The Aperture is the amount of sharpness or blur in the shot and was set to F4.0.
The shutter-speed portrays motion ins a shot, which was set to 1/80

Process | I used a Canon EOS 500D to capture the image, after experimenting I took a few shots of the location with different ISO's to get the correct lighting and exposure for the picture. I also adjusted the aperture so that I would be able to focus in a perspective row from right to the centre creating depth in the photograph. On the aperture priority mode (Av), the shutter speed altered with the aperture to create the good exposure the shot needed. After adjusting, I held a few trials and different angles to create the feeling I was aiming for with this story until eventually, was able to capture what I needed.

Reflection |  Taking this photo was a lot of fun! We explored fortitude valley because that is where I have seen the most graffiti and dark and ominous looking alleyways for me capture the city street vibe I was looking for. I found it easier this round having learned from the previous photoshoot of the lake to understand what was needed for the shot I wanted.
The 'curves' in Photoshop were slightly tweaked using the green line to focus more on the Magenta. Some greens were added on the same line as well, moving the opposite point to north - east from the bottom left the corner.
Technique | I used a DSLR Canon EOS 550D with an 18-55mm macro 0.25/0.8ft lens.
The ISO is the sensibility of surface and was set to 3200 as it I was losing natural light.
The Aperture is the amount of sharpness or blur in the shot and was set to F9.0, as I wanted to focus on the entire frame equally.
The shutter-speed portrays motion ins a shot, which was set to 1/200 to ensure there is no blue, perfectly capturing every little detail.

Process | I used a Canon EOS 500D to capture the image, after experimenting I took a few shots of the location with different ISO's to get the correct lighting and exposure for the picture, I also adjusted the aperture so that I would be able to focus on the entire photograph evenly giving the audience a clear impression of what the environment was like if they were there in person, I changed this to the aperture priority setting, where the shutter-speed altered with the aperture to create good exposure. After adjusting, I held trials a few different angles to create the feeling I needed for this story and then eventually I was able to capture what I needed.

Reflection | Taking this photo was a so exciting! I found the previous experience has made it much more settling taking better photographs and quicker, and I no longer find it stressful as I am starting to enjoy the process, so I look forward to the next photos.
Technique | I used a DSLR Canon EOS 550D with an 18-55mm macro 0.25/0.8ft lens.
The ISO is the sensibility of surface and was set to 800 as it was set in, a dark background as well as I wanted to add a lot of noise into the shot.
The Aperture is the amount of sharpness or blur in the shot and was set to F4.0, as I wanted to focus on only the tires.
The shutter-speed portrays motion ins a shot, which was set to 1/40 as with a lot of noise the sharpness wasn't my priority for this storytelling photograph.

Process | I used a Canon EOS 500D to capture the image, after experimenting I took a few shots of the location with different ISO's to get the correct lighting and exposure for the picture, I also adjusted the aperture so that I would be able to focus on only the tires giving the audience a clear target of focus. After adjusting, I held trials a few different angles to create the feeling I needed for this story and then eventually I was able to capture what I needed.

Reflection | Taking this photo was a so exciting! Since I saw so captivated by the position, and the opportunity was literally just sitting right in front of me, this picture was by far the easiest to take, but it did excite me as it has a lot to say through the image evoking deep emotions.
Technique | I used a DSLR Canon EOS 550D with an 18-55mm macro 0.25/0.8ft lens.
The ISO is the sensibility of surface and was set to 1600 as it was set in, a very very dark background, I had to increase the exposure significantly.
The Aperture is the amount of sharpness or blur in the shot and was set to F7.1, which changing accordingly to the adjustment of the shutter speed.
The shutter-speed portrays motion ins a shot, was set to 1/15 which created the obvious blur of the photo which created the dazed feeling of the photograph.

Process | I used a Canon EOS 500D to capture the image, I held a few trials to create the feeling I needed for this story and then eventually I was able to capture what I needed.

Reflection | D to capture I took this photograph when the models were not expecting it as this added a realistic dimension to the photo. It was unexpected and this way it seems as if its is recorded exactly how it was, instead of what it would have been like.
