For this project, we had to redesign a series of Absolut Vodka web banners. Before starting the project, I researched the previous adverts that have been developed by Absolut. There was a huge variety of different web banners and adverts that were extremely creative and clever in terms of using imaginative themes that adopt around the Absolut bottle.

Therefore, I needed to be creative as possible to keep the brand identity and decided to create web banners based around nostalgic characters that I believe are popular and memorable and can also be adapted around the Absolut vodka bottle. I added a tag line to all the banners too saying “who will you be” which is aimed to entice an audience by them interacting with the product as it allows them to chose their favourite character.

To create the banners I used Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign. I used illustrator to create the vector graphics , Photoshop to edit images and then Indesign for the overall page layout.

For the web banners specifications, I used the full page ad which was 300 x 600. After designing the web banners, I then exported them as a JPEG.
