HOUSE OF CARDS + PRADA
THE INSPIRATION
This mini series came to fruition over a weekend when I was forced to stay home in bed with the flu... on Christmas day. I managed to make the best of my stay at home by binge watching an entire season of House of Cards and drooling over the new Spring collections on then www.style.com, now www.vogue.com . The collections that initially jumped out at me were Prada, Alexander McQueen and a Valentino collection.
THE VOGUE VIGNETTE ARTWORK
Staying true to my swan necks and the first set of pens I grabbed before collapsing on the bed for the weekend, I began creating a series of Vv girls that were a little more angular and quirky than past work. This series was definitely the catalyst in the new direction for Vogue Vignette.
