Combining merchandise and food packaging, "DEXTER DONUTS" was a school project inspired by showtimes crime thriller series Dexter. I designed a total of four different Donut Boxes, one for Dexter and one for every main villain of the first three seasons.
The Box opens up by slicing it along the perforated lines, creating a cut similar to that Dexter inflicts on his victims when gathering a blood sample for his collection.
A small booklet informs about the contents and theme of the box, and gives an overview on the whole collection.
As fans of the series know, Dexter hides his collection of blood samples from his previous victims in the air ventilation unit of his apartment. If you check out the crime scene within the Donut Box, you can find a similar air hatch containing a "blood sample" with an imprinted QR code leading to the shows website.
The bottom of the Box has a list of the Donut Ingredients, depicted on police tape.
