National Museum Cardiff Rebrand For Children.

Brief
Rebrand the National Museum Cardiff's website, to encourage younger audiences to want to visit.

Solution
I used bright and colourful illustrations, rather than the photographs on the original site to spark the children's imagination before they even get to the building.
The sites consists of a long scrolling page. This is something that children will be comfortable and familiar with, so they will be able to navigate the site with ease.
The desktop site focuses heavily on illustrations with some elements animated. When these are clicked on, a pop up text box appears with fun facts and info. Each image relates to a specific area of the museum, so children will know what to expect when they get there.
The 'Grown Ups' tab is always visible, but doesn't impose on any of the imagery. This tab hold the "boring" grown up information that is essential to know, (opening times/parking/facilities etc), but not necessarily something the children will care about.

The mobile site is a little different.
It's more of an interactive site for when you are there.
Codes will be hidden inside the museum, if scanned, the user gets a dinosaur egg. As they continue around the museum, with the app open, the eggs that have been collected will hatch and grow.
The aim is to get children to want to spend more time exploring the museum.
