This is an old personal project on reconciling the dreary urban environment of Metro Manila with the amount of culture and life that happens on its streets. In precolonial Philippines everything in nature was revered as a spirit or a deity, this has been warped time and time again by colonizers till they have become nothing but monsters and demons invoked to scare naughty children.

The cultural and visual landscape of the Filipino is once again undergoing changes in the era of neo-colonization in the name of late stage capitalism. Spirits and monsters grow smaller and smaller as they try to survive and maintain their place in this modern world.
