I began with the idea of metal in a natural, simplistic form as well as Feist's concept of "mettling" - the ability to cope. I started manipulating pixel-like forms because they are the core of digital communication. From these pixels I began rendering an abstract image of an anatomical heart, symbolizing that our inner most beings are the most pure - the most untouched. From that heart i further abstracted meaning by rotating and reflecting. The result is an image that may seem so much more complicated than it is - just as Feist means to express in her album Metals.
