Opportunity: Update the design and create layouts for the Clemson University 2016 Orientation Freshman and Transfer Schedule Booklets.
Solution: Since the Schedule Booklets from prior years all looked very similar in their layouts and were on the verge of becoming dated, the time had come to create a new look and feel. The goal was to create a clean and simple look that was consistent across each spread while retaining a few engaging and dynamic elements that matched the rest of the New Student materials. Actions such as keeping headers and footers consistent, limiting the number of typefaces, using full bleed images and ads, using strong hierarchy, and simplifying shapes made the Schedule Booklets what they are today—fresh, simple, and energetic. These booklets keep the new students involved and well-informed during Orientation.
