Sea Creatures - USB Hub Series

Sea Creatures - USB Hub Series
For my CMPA100 class (Computer Art), instead of doing something related to my major (Photography), I chose to dabble in industrial design. I created slightly technical drawings of USB hubs. I created this ocean animal three-part series.
Crab. As can be seen, there are six ports in the back of the crab, and the cord comes from the mouth. Therefore, the crab won't topple over. It took 5 hours from concept to completion.
Sea Turtle. The underside (top right) is curved slightly, allowing the shell to lay flat on a table, and the hubs are located where arms and legs typically would be. The hubs therefore create the arms and legs once a USB drive is plugged in (bottom left shows hub locations). It took 7 hours from concept to completion.
Jellyfish. Front view. The tentacles are bendable and allow the hubs to move freely and more conveniently for the user. the two larger tentacles keep the jellyfish from toppling over. It took 5.5 hours from concept to completion.
Jellyfish. Back view.
