Birds symbolize freedom. They have what mankind lacks—wings, thus the freedom of flight. Although we have our aeroplanes and helicopters, nothing compares to simply taking flight without a moments notice, as birds do. I wanted to communicate this quality in the type and image treatment in my redesign through soft imagery in the watercolors and organic type treatment. Note that imagery is never in a bounding box, for birds are not caged by nature.
