Jude's Gift
This piece was based off of the idea of re-gifting and theuse of found materials finding purpose outside of storage. It first developed as a stoolthat had many storage compartments, but could also be seen as a sidetable. When I was half way throughthe construction of this piece, my aunt who had gifted this guitar to my motherdied unexpectedly and this material that had been seen as a piece of cluttersuddenly added a new sentimental value to the piece that embodies this idea ofimportance found material can obtained when used in a new light.
