A little project I did a while ago, but thought I'd share with the world now.
The idea was for a wifi connected temperature sensor system for use in the kitchen. The sensors are placed in the refridgerator or freezer and connect to a hub that transmits data to a cloud based account. Mobile apps would allow the monitoring of appliances, with features such as temperature alerts etc.
The devices were modelled to be small enough to fit in most places and not be intrusive, while also accomodating the hardware needed to make them work. The device material was designed to replicate a hard, easy clean plastic with a glossy finish.
All models, materials, and lighting were created in Blender 3D by myself.
The complete kit. The cardboard inner and outer boxes were designed using existing packaging as reference, with attention paid to the creases and edges.
