I always shoot in color, but I oftentimes try converting my photos to black-and-white, as I quite like the aesthetic and sometimes it brings out more of the texture of the subject. For this series of flower photos I've tried to combine both aesthetics. The black-and-white background puts emphasis on the deep saturated colors of the blossoms.
Those were all shot in the Volksgarten, a pretty big park in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Moving along the visible spectrum from yellow over orange to red.
Pink isn't even in the visible spectrum.
Another take on the water lily in the first photo. Ok actually it's not the same one. This is my favourite shot from that day.
'Flowers'
Tried to go for a pop art vibe. Not sure if it worked, but I like it. This is the only image I used Photoshop for, the rest is done completely in Lightroom.
