The newspaper has invested much time in improving its content delivery to readers. We wanted to introduce this to our readers, along with an announcement that our digital content would be handled with site metering. It is a growing trend in the industry to no longer allow completely free access to newspaper content. In order to keep producing quality, exclusive local content, newspapers are realizing they can no longer give their news away for free online.

Online advertisement for the announcement. Clicking on the ad took readers to a page on the web site with the same letter from the Publisher.
