Sheydin Dew and Aden Beaver were given the opportunity by the Flinders University Student Association to design and paint new murals in the "Flinders Laneway" a space for students and faculty to study, socialise, relax, and get coffee. The murals were designed and developed with the overall idea of unifying the space and breathing fresh life into the space.
Using a mix of traditional acrylic and spraypaint, the artists focused on the convergence of dreams and reality. Sheydin's Wall focuses on a Woman dreaming whereas Aden's wall draws inspiration from other spraycan & graffiti artists to create a vibrant colourful effect. Both artists use galaxies as the unifying theme across the walls.
These pieces are a walkthrough of my dreams. The girl initially had solid hair, rather than the galaxy. The request was, however, to unify the space more through the art. We refined our designs and created something we're both immensely proud of.

The human eye can only see a certain small wavelength and colour spectrum. Along with this, we can barely see any stars and galaxies from the city. My mural asks what we could see if we could see everything that's up there, what wisdom would we gain?
