In the context of a university project, I made a brochure about Scotland’s declaration of independence, the Declaration of Arbroath. The brief was about reviving and simplifying an old document that you consider important. After some research on the events, I wrote a short text explaining what was written and why, as well as the results it produced.
The main leaflet was attached to a larger outer shell, the cover and back. I used clay to mimic the nobles’ wax signatures, the most prominent physical characteristic of the original document. They were secured at the front of the back cover and concealed behind another layer of paper.
Thanks for watching!
