Lou Roux Creole Bistro - Corporate Identity

Lou is an abbreviation for Louisiana, the center of Creole cuisine. Roux is a common base in Creole dishes. Therefore the name represents the location of the restaurant in Louisiana and the incorporation of French influences. The name also reflects the musical atmosphere of Frenchmen Street—where Lou Roux is located—with its smooth, rhyming sound. The logo is simple type with a circular mark that combines a shrimp, flame, and piano keys—all distinctive aspects of the restaurant.

Lou Roux has a swanky atmosphere perfect for socializing and warming up with delicious Creole dishes before experiencing Frenchmen Street nightlife. They attract driven people looking to enjoy refined, affordable cuisine with a Creole taste while taking a well-needed break from their 9-5 shifts. Therefore I focused on the social aspect of the restaurant in the Call Me napkins, and created a menu modeled after an old jazz album to encompass the energy and music of the nightlife thriving there.
