Campus Carry Policy Report

Design Objective: Produce a beautifully designed report that adheres with the modern Texas A&M brand aesthetic to communicate the newly released Campus Carry policy to the public. The design had to first be approved by the Campus Carry Policy Task Force. A hard copy was then produced and presented to the President of the university for policy approval, and finally a digital copy was released to the public.

Process: The design of this report is meant to be elegant and minimal, intentionally limiting any unnecessary elements and thus making the content the primary focus. The geometry and placement of said geometry is based off of the underlying layout grid and used foremostly to draw attention to the subheads and other content. The dot grid is one of the first uses of a relatively new design style that Texas A&M will, at the time of writing this, be moving towards in the upcoming year (2016).
Reception: Upon review by the twenty-two member task force, the design of the report was widely praised and unanimously approved without a single edit. This was an enormous success when compared to the time spent deliberating over the content and combining each member's edits.
