BLEND is an urban seating, designed keeping in mind the frequent usage throughout the year. A fluid form that soothes the human mind and merges (or blends) with the landscape in any urban scenario (parks, markets etc.)

MATERIALITY
The seating is comprised of 3 materials - Steel Rods, Concrete & Wood
These 3 materials are used so as to bring about a contrast to the form and also to vary seating pattern during different weather periods.
STEEL RODS being highly susceptible to both heat and cold, is placed in hollow tubes within the concrete form. This part can be pulled out whenever necessary.
The CONCRETE part holds the steel rods which in-turn acts as a partial reinforcement for the seating.
The WOOD accentuates the raw concrete/aluminum part and strikes a balance to the seating.

The profile of the seating can be taken in any path for any length, around objects/existing trees. With the steel seating closed, more walk space can also be obtained.
