Rode Sans - An Uppercase Display Font
Rode Sans is a custom made font for my client and friend Anna Roditi, a London-based fashion designer. The font in particular didn't start in order to be a font. It started by designing the characters that consist Anna's full name and the next thing you know, we had a font! Since both me and Anna are Greeks, I could not omit to design, besides the numbers, another set of Greek characters. The influences for designing Rode Sans were mainly Gotham, Neutraface, Intro and Hurme. Through the design process some letters where given a slightly different, but still relative to the font, perspective, in order to avoid being just another font sans serif. The font itself seems ideal for posters and logos, highly unsuitable for body texts, and strictly for Anna. Sorry.
