With A Clockwork Orange, I wanted to design a cover which represented the two sides to main character Alex's personality; the good and the evil. This was done through a mannequin to suggest it could be anyone who has this moral dialema, but with hints of the iconic character (such as the bowler hat and the eyelashes).

With Emil and the Detectives, I wanted the book to represent the suitcase, which Emil (the main character) carries with him on his adventures throughout the book. It needed to be young and playful but still manage to suit the classic tale.
