Written Reflection
My silhouette project’s theme is based on the things that are the most important to me and the memories that I remember the most. I have a sheet of music which I cut-out in a way that divides my silhouette into different sections. I chose this piece of music because it was the first piece of music that actually caused me frustration. Other pieces of music were difficult before, but this piece actually caused me frustration. It taught me a very important thing about music, and how not everything should be easy, and you have to challenge yourself sometimes. That’s also why I incorporated the picture above that, because some of my greatest accomplishments were in music. I have a picture of my brother and I because it represents what my family means to me and how they are really important to me.
I also have 3 family vacation pictures in my artwork because I really value and enjoy spending time with my family. I don’t really remember much from when I was younger, but I tried to incorporate the moments that I do remember. And some of those moments were just small events and feelings that I experienced on family vacations. I remember look out and seeing the entire view on the other side of the river, which is why I included the background picture. A lot of the pictures were taken a long time ago so they are speckled white a little, to give it an old picture look. So overall, these pictures are just the important and lasting memories.
