My typography teacher challenged me to create a piece of work using no images.
I took that challenge head-on and created a hand-made, delicate pattern made from scrawly, ink-y strokes spelling out the name of each type of pasta; 'Conchiglie', 'Tagliatelle' and 'Orichiette'. Using such beautiful words made it easy to create a beautiful pattern.
I used this pattern to create the aesthetic structure of each box, and complimented the pattern with two typefaces - a Serif, to echo the curly, ornate aesthetic, and a Sans Serif to bring a modern touch.
