A self initiated poster series, created for HelpAge India, a leading charity in India working with and for disadvantaged elderly for more than 3 decades.The aim of this poster series is to generate awareness about Elder Abuse in the society.
In many parts of the world, Elder Abuse occurs with little recognition or response. Elder abuse can take various forms such as physical, psychological or emotional, sexual & financial abuse. 9 out of 10 actual cases of Elder Abuse go unreported & the prime abusers are family members. This means that very few seniors who have been abused get the help they need. One thing is for certain: Elder Abuse can happen to any older individual – your neighbor, your loved one.
