As a Nicaraguan, I have been exposed to the two iconic national beer brands (Toña and Victoria Clásica) my whole life. I was further connected to the brands through my previous job at an ad agency where Toña and Victoria were clients. It was at work one day where I stumbled upon these classic can designs from the 90's and immediately had the idea to do a collage series connecting the beer to the beaches of Nicaragua in a style inspired by Warhol. I Hope these prints make you think of sunny days on the beach in Nica drinking cold beers or sipping Flor de Cana rum no matter how far away you are.
