Wonderwalls
Wallpaper was the initial reason for my visit to this beautiful old house in Inchicore in March 2012. As a textile artist I am inspired by repeat patterns, distressed and old textures and surfaces. The colours of the wallpaper had remained beautifully intact in places and had faded in other places. This contrast and the two different lighting sources seen in the photos were just two of the many signifiers of the passing of time in this house.
Time passes and our dreams come and go, some remain clear and stay with us. Some fade and give way to newer brighter ones!
