Few days ago I'd got interesting commission from Mr. Unčovský to create design for one of his handmade knifes. The drawing was created to commemorate the American miners who were killed during their work. The customer is the fifth generation of miners in his family who emigrated to the US from Czechoslovakia. The idea of the knife is that the first side symbolize life (miner), and the second side, death (skull).
Matthew Unčovský makes quality Czech handmade knives from the finest titanium and steel. The image was created using a special laser which engraved my drawing directly into the titanium handle. With his wife, Mr. Unčovský always wants create each knife precisely tailored to the customer requirements. This makes every piece unique and original.
