This show originally started as a collaborative exhibition, where I and 2 partners planned to ask various people to provide us with "prompts" for us to respond to artistically. The idea was that each person would respond to identical prompts in their own ways, creating both a diverse and simultaneously coherent group show.
However, as time progressed, my collaborators decided to pursue other concepts for their senior shows, leaving me to work alone with the 5 prompts we had received, from professors, curators, and artists (including Jasper Johns!)
