FINAL PIECES
In my first final piece i decided to use Marker as my first media, After constructing a quick pencil sketch i realised i had drawn it too small to begin with and then what you see above is the size i settled with, large enough to make out from a distance. The way in which i used the markers is not as intended only because i wanted to create a kevlar style effect by only uses markers going horizontally as opposed to both horizontal and vertically. The combination of colours gives a nice effect to the overall piece as it gives the character an identity. Looking at the piece it is obvious this individual is apart of some Government unit.

During the development stages of my first final piece the character underwent a couple of variations, Masked and Unmasked which can be seen in the experiment phases above. The initial concept was that this character was supposed to be demolitionist that has an obsession with demolishing and setting off explosives. I was heavily influenced by an already existing character from my favourite video game: Team Fortress 2 and the character is a Demolistionist Man a drunken unstable character.

I also adapted my character drawing to his personality in a previous document to this.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Justin Wolf – He is a European American male. Tall, Brown hair and eyes, dishevelled complexion, dressed in a tatty plaid shirt and ripped jeans, shoddy and dirty black boots. Distinctive scar across his left eye. He is of middle age, late thirties.

Social Standings- Wolf has no family that haven’t been consumed by the invasion. His only friends are Martha and Craig who have stuck by him in this group through the thick and thin. Hi current occupation is as his old world job, demolitionist. He was educated at Harvard where he studied IT, but this was obviously not what he wanted to do as he only studied that as an easy way to get through the year.

Personality: Quiet, reflective, and idealistic. Interested in serving humanity. Loner, avoidant, solitary, private. Can feel uncomfortable around others. Does not like crowds. An observer. A hermit. Interested in understanding and helping people. Creative and smart.

Justin Wolf is an idealistic character who has no other interest in anything other than serving humanity by purging the mistakes of the past and his idealistic way of doing this is by being adaptable and being mentally quick with his demolitionist past. Wolf as his friends call him is a man who used to before the entire invasion worked as a demolitionist for a building clean up company that always disposed of old derelict buildings and because of this he has an obsession with blowing things up with the mass amount of explosives he has access to.

Wolf found himself in the spot he is in now due to the entire past mistakes of the Tri-Sceptre government and their inevitable downfall in the year of 2016. The year is now 2022 seven years after the fall of the corrupt galactic governing body a new force has arisen in the form of a group known as the constant a group that aids in the fight by showing up at the most opportune of times. Wolf is a part of that group who specialises in uncontrolled explosive matters which in the old world would be considered maniacal and given the circumstances of the effects of the new world his talents are essential to the cause.

Psychological: Justin is a passive aggressive person.
In my second final piece i used Pencil Crayon in order to give this piece depth, with the light direction in mind i went ahead and shaded in the areas in which the light wasn't able to reach thus casting a shadow.
The choice of colours is interesting because i wanted to give my character a stereotype look, He generally dresses as seen above which is rather similar to how Mobsters in the 50's would have dressed but ontop of that i had him paired with a Thompson sub-machine gun just to really give him that Mobster feel.

During the Development stages of this second final piece i consulted my peers opinions on the pieces, The original development piece wasn't a full body A3 piece and was more detail focused on the face as opposed to the entire body and so forth. So the original intentions for this piece were Pencil Crayon which i stuck with and as you can see i started to give the piece some depth after some encouragement from the Teacher to make the final piece more realistic looking and the influence for Nicholas Wage came from a Post-apocalyptic game known as Left 4 Dead as the character i based heavily off of a Gambler called Nick in that game so that's where my influence for my character came from. As well as that i also developed his personality in a personal bio.
-----------------------------------------------------
Nicholas Wage- Is a Tall, Gambling man who isn’t afraid to take risks and rises up to the challenge when it comes to call

Personality- Social, comfortable around others. Self-centred, likes to be the centre of attention. Outgoing. Engaged. A born leader.

Nicholas before the invasion was a gambling man who wasn’t afraid to blow all his money on the tables. However in his spare time away from gambling he was a parking warden who’d fuel his gambling addiction by stealing bags upon bags of coins in order to satisfy his addiction to slot machines.
Now in the year 2022, he survives by using his knowledge in hand to hand combat against the threat that has been caused by the everlasting cause.
In my third final piece, You can see that i have used fine-liner i chose this type of Media so then i could give the character a cross-hatched cel-shaded type of style to her posture, The pose was intended not only to make her look good but to show the fact she is a strong individual who carries her trusty sidearm whilst out on the field as her role from the three characters is a field medic.

During the development stages of Devon Hopewell, I took to my classmates for constructive criticism so i could ensure that the Final piece wouldn't end up the same, However i did take the same from the experimentation and development and re-drew it as a Fine-Liner piece as before the line work wasn't as cel-shaded than the final piece is now. I took this into account and made the fine-liner piece in a cross-hatched style and acented the shadowed parts. Devon Hopewell isn't based off of any already existing character rather she is based off of the female combat medics we have today however i adapted her backstory to be more realistic as you will see below.
-------------------------------------------------------
Devon Hopewell- An average height woman who has Green eyes and dyed blue hair, she wears bloodied medical scrubs as well as a surgical mask. She is in her early twenties.

Social Standings- like Wolf, Devon has no remaining family other than her friends who she considers as close to family as friends come. Her only friends are Justin and Craig. She studied her vet skills at the University of Medicine in Arizona. Her current occupation is field surgeon.

Personality: Outgoing, social, open, does not like being alone. Easy to read. Warm-hearted and popular. Tends to put the needs of others over their own needs. Interested in serving others. Values relationships and families over intellectual pursuits.

Before the invasion and downfall of the governing body of the Tri-Sceptre council, Devon was a vet for a small town veterinary surgery and since the cause came about she has had to put to practice her animal nursing skills on the wounded and given her limited knowledge of the human anatomy she still persists to aid the injured who have been fighting against the invasion for the cause.

On a daily basis she aids in the cause by treating the wounded and patching them up as best she can.
She is also a part of the Constant as the lead medical officer.

Psychological: Devon is a Sadistic character
