“The Bit” is a show featured in the webisode series “The Grind” on GameRevolution. The Bit is a consortium of short skits covering several topics that deal with the gaming lifestyle – Gamer Dream, Gamer Heartbreak, IRL: In Real Life, Then & Now and A Message BTYB.
“The Bit” refers to 8-Bit classic gaming look and feel and we created 8-bit looking logotype and icons that represent each of the themes mentioned above. We wanted to convey this in the logo itself as well as the title card animation.

Different versions of The Bit logo customized for each of the topics covered in the skit. Along with the Icon and color palette.
Title Card Animation
An ode to 8-bit games such as Mario Bros. and Tetris. We wanted to really convey that ol’ school feel with the movement of the logo as well as the icons. Having multiple logos we came up with an animation that could be used across all 5 themes. Music was produced specifically for this show that too also took note from the soundtracks of notable 8-bit video games.
