The challenge was to design a chair of competition for Mauricio Valencia, a Colombian olympic para-athlete, a person with diplegia, consequence of a cerebral palsy when he was born. A tough guy who overcame his problem and now is a world champion and olympic athlete doing shot put, javelin and discus throw.
The main idea was to create a solid and structured chair that supports the weight and force of the throw movement, but also foldable or articulable to facilitate the transportation and time of no-use of the chair.
