ISTD: Devil at my heels

This typographic publication tells the real life story of U.S War Hero, Louis Zamperini. A WW2 Bombardier who's plane crashed at sea. He and two crew members (out of 11) survived. In just a life-raft, Louis survived for 47 days before being captured by the Japanese. His story is documented in the NY Times best-selling book 'Devil at my heels', which later became the 2014 film 'Unbroken' directed by Angelina Jolie.

This typographic publication celebrates the adversity Louis faced, and brings credit to his relentless optimism and will to survive.

This project was designed and developed for entry to the 2016 brief set by the International Society of Typographic Design (ISTD).
