Mitsikeli is a mountain of Epirus in 1810 meters altitude. The name is Slavic and means "bear's nest" . Located in the northeastern prefecture of Ioannina in the city of Ioannina. Mitsikeli bounded on the north by the Timfi the east by Lakme, while to the west leads to the plateau of Ioannina. At its foot lies the lake of Ioannina and the cave of Perama. Behind the Mitsikelli are located the famous Zagorohoria. The mountain is included in the Northern Pindos National Park and it is also integrated in the Natura 2000 network.
