Neste projecto, venho vos mostrar qual foi o processo que tomei para chegar até à ideia que enviei, para o Festival Músicas do Mundo de Sines.

O primeiro passo foi passar para o papel todas as ideias que para mim, fazia sentido associar o Festival Músicas do Mundo. Para isso foi desde o inicio estabelecido, que o Logo deveria transm itir icons de grande valor para o Festival, tais como, Sol, Lua, Terra, música, pessoas, movimento/ritmo, alegria, Sines, o Castelo de Sines, etc, etc.
The first step was to note down all the ideas that to me, it made sense to join the World Music Festival. To this was established from the beginning, the Logo should convey icons of great value to the festival, such as sun, moon, earth, music, people, movement / rhythm, joy, Sines, Sines Castle, etc., etc.

Aqui está algumas das ideias que passei para o computador. Umas mais fortes, outras mais fracas, umas mais objectivas, outras mais complexas, mas quase todas tentam transmitir uma serie de factores que são claras evidências ao festival em questão. No entanto, todas estas ideias falavam por si, mas achei que deveria ir mais além e acreditar em algo ainda mais forte, que transmiti-se mais alegria, e que de certa forma refleti-se o meu estilo.

Depois de muito ponderar que seria muito dificil conseguir juntar todas os conceitos que poderam representar o festival, direccionei o meu pensamento para estes items através de pesquisas na internet. Assim segui a linha de pensamento que foi: Chama - calor, sol, movimento, paixão, verão; Castelo - local onde decorre maior parte do festival musical, simbolo da cidade; Mar - elemento predominante uma vez que Sines é uma cidade costeira, praia, tranquilidade; Estrela(s) - simboliza o espectaculo, estrelato, noite; Dança - Inevitabilidade deste festival perante o fantástico ambiente que se vive; Notas Musicais - ritmo, musica, festival.

After much consideration it would be very difficult to pull together all the concepts that might represent the festival, I focus my thoughts for these items by searching the internet. Uma vez que tinha encontrado a minha linha de pensamento sobre o Logo, comecei a juntar as peças. E o resultado fora este.

Once I had found my way of thinking about the Logo, I started putting the pieces together. And the result was this.
Deconstructing it, this is the explanation: The Flame is presented on the star-shaped and dance, as dance goes dropping musical notes, and rests on the planet Earth that contains a crown.
Desconstruindo a explicação é esta: A chama apresenta-se sobre a forma de estrela e a dançar, consoante dança vai soltando notas musicais; e está assente sobre o planeta Terra que contem uma coroa.
Once I had found my way of thinking about the Logo, I started putting the pieces together. And the result was this.

Contudo achei que o Castelo de Sines ou o local - Sines, estava pouco evidênciado, só com a Coroa.
Então parti para uma outra tranformação.

Troquei o planeta Terra por uma torre do Castelo. O que resultou muito bem pois, a torre fica assim como uma tocha que suporta a chama, a chama do Festival. No fim da torre temos uma pequena onda para simbolizar agua, mar, praia...

E já está quase na recta final. As cores que escolhi foram o azul e o castanho.
O azul aqui representa 50% da cor no Logo, isto porque desde inicio que construí esta ideia, imaginei que a chama não devia ser só vermelho ou outro tom quente, mas sim que contivesse algum mistisismo, como se fosse uma chama fria que podemos tocar e nunca nos queimamos, que nos deixa perplexos e admirados, ou como se a chama fosse feita de água, uma vez que Sines é banhado por todo o Oceano Atlântico. Os dois tons de azul foi por uma questão de reflexos, dar mais enfâse à chama.
O castanho simboliza a Terra, Sines.

The two shades of blue was a matter of reflexes, give more emphasis to the flame.
The brown colour symbolizes the Earth, Sines.
