Each character represents one of the 11 soccer players on a team.
The focus of the characters where on diversity of personality. The character with the flaming red hair is the goalkeeper.
Colour is added to the design.

I was commissioned by FunDza Literacy Trust to design & draw eleven soccer player characters to be used on a poster with the layout of a soccer field. I completed this work in 2005. It was the first commercial illustration work I did. I worked under the art direction of Christo Swanepoel of Fava Studio.
