The focal point for this project has been the bright and colourful visual language of board games. Having adapted my own designs from twelve different games from around the world, I created a fictitious pop-up board games event tac-tic-go.
Life
An A2 poster design based on The Game of Life. The imagery was created in Illustrator while the layout was brought together in InDesign.
Patolli
An A2 poster design based on the ancient South American game Patolli. The imagery was created in Illustrator while the layout was brought together in InDesign.
Oware
An A2 poster design based on the pit and pebble game Oware which is popular in the Caribbean and West Africa. The imagery was created in Illustrator while the layout was brought together in InDesign.
Pachisi
An A2 poster design based on Pachisi, a game that originated from India and is still one of their most celebrated games. The imagery was created in Illustrator while the layout was brought together in InDesign.
Fanorona
An A6 postcard, with the front image based on the Madagascan board game Fanorona, the back promotes the event with its title and a small description of the board game.
Dara
