A Song About Home
The musician's alternative to the böring demo CD.
A Song About Home is a song written by the (super-talented) Sarah Ashley Peters. The story has been translated into a custom "demo" book to be used as a leave-behind at record labels. The infographic timeline and poster are to be used as additional promotional materials.

The book design showcases Sarah's personal photographs with quotes from Booth Tarkington's book, The World Does Move which influenced her story and lyrics. The design follows a custom grid that can be seen as lines throughout the pages. Photos tumble and lose their recognizable shape through the pages as life changes and evolves.

The timeline was designed with elements found in an underground railway map, due to the journey described in the song representing an emotional evolution through physical transience. The background is inspired by the textures found within Sarah's photographs.

The poster features handmade environmental typography at a place that inspired Sarah to move forward and attend grad school in a big city.

Have a listen.
