These images are the first installment of a series in “Photo Impressionism” where I utilize a long exposure and intentional movement of the camera to remove the direct documentation of a subject, and in its place capture the essential colors, lines, shapes, and movements that embody the scene in order to leave a lasting impression and affect a viewer emotionally.
This series was shot during an exploratory trip of San Francisco's waterfront and specifically focused on a marina of sailboats and the surrounding area during a beautiful winter sunset.
