BlackBerry was big among business people due to its durability, long battery life and being easy to use for e-mails but it wasn't desired by youth as much and competition with other smartphones was growing. Also Blackberry had a messaging app called BBM which was the cheapest way to communicate with friends. And we decided to make this coffee cup icon with this message: “for the price of a cup of coffee, unlimited messaging“. We used this icon on the visuals with the bodycopies with “emotions”.
