Brenthaven Site Re-Design

I participated in 5-month re-design and launch of a new responsive e-commerce website on schedule. I was one of five on the team and assisted in the full project lifecycle: strategy, design, development, testing, and implementation. The goal of this project was to responsive, increase mobile conversions and increase overall conversion rate. 
Information Architecture 
One of the initial steps of the design process was to categorize the Brenthaven product assortment and create a structural framework that would be easy to navigate for our customers as well as be SEO optimized. After several renditions, our graphic designer produced the final site map. 
Wireframes
My team and I looked at what we liked about our current website and other compeitors and incorporated which design and user experience aspects into our requirements. From this, our graphic designer produced wireframes for every page in our site map. Since this was going to be a responsive website, we had both desktop and mobile wireframes
User Testing
My team and I used the wireframes to run user tests with other employees in our company. The goal of these tests was to ensure that the user could easily find what they were looking for and check out seamlessly. From multiple rounds of user testing, we revised some of of the content before the design phase.
Prototyping
We worked with a contracted designer for the final design and prototype of the website. All of the site pages went through various visual re-designs as we refined color palettes, typography, and visuals. We sweated the details regarding how the product pages would link together, where all of the buttons and links would lead, how users would interact with the product filters, how the shopping cart would work, and how the front-end design would talk to the back-end system. Both desktop and mobile prototypes were created and tested
Site Content
I revised old copy and wrote new copy for all site content that was SEO optimized and reflected our brand voice. This included over 90 products and 50 content pages.
Before & After
The entire project took five months. After implenentation, we saw an increased conversion rate by 36%, increased mobile transaction by 75%, and improved user engagement.
