In the foot of the Himalayan mountain range, where the river ganges is born is located the city of Haridwar. Haridwar is one of the seven holy cities in India. Every evening around five o'clock a religious feast  called Ganga Aarti takes part in the Gaht of Har Ki Pauri. The celebration lasts about two hours and thousands of people gather to pray,sing, throw flowers to the river as a sign of offering for Shiva and have a bath in the Ganges River to purify their sins. When night falls one can see the thousands of candels dancing to the rythm of music while the Ganges cleans away people's worries.
